Our graphics team created a logo for the NYC SeatShare. The SeatShare program helps empower people with invisible disabilities a seat on public transportation in an explicitly discreet manner. This is contextualized by interpreting forms and colors associated with city mass transportation systems (subways, buses, and ferries). The sharing spirit is captured by the overlapping unity of the highly identifiable iconic seating typology. The color palette is informed from NYC’s established metro signage, and is bold and illuminating to be easily spotted. The “SeatShare” san-serif font was embellished by adding secondary line weights expressing transportation. The “NYC” graffiti stroke represents urbanism.
